Government continues reduced excise duty on euro diesel during the tourist season

Pursuant to the Decision on the excise duty rates on unleaded petrol and gas oils, adopted by the Montenegrin Cabinet at its electronic session held this evening, the following retail fuel prices will apply as of 28 July 2026:

• EUROSUPER 98 – EUR 1.81/l
• EUROSUPER 95 – EUR 1.77/l
• EURO DIESEL – EUR 1.79/l

The increase in crude oil and petroleum product prices on the international market has continued due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, as well as disruptions in global transport and supply chains.

To mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices on citizens and businesses, the Government will continue to apply a reduced excise duty on euro diesel throughout the tourist season, with the level of the reduction adjusted in accordance with the applicable decision.
