Ibrahimović attends Inauguration of Council of Europe’s New Premises in New York

On the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović attended the inauguration of the Council of Europe’s new premises in New York, opened by Secretary General Alain Berset.

At a time of growing global challenges, the Council of Europe remains a key pillar of the European multilateral order, safeguarding human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

The opening of the Council of Europe’s representation in New York brings Strasbourg closer to the United Nations, further strengthening cooperation based on shared values and legal standards.

As we prepare to assume the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers in November, we look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the achievement of these common objectives.
