Ibrahimović hosts working breakfast with former Ministers of Foreign Affairs

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović hosted a working breakfast with former Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, held on Monday, 10 November 2025, at Villa Gorica.
The event, designed as a platform for exchanging views, was organized as part of the preparation of the Montenegro’s Foreign Policy Strategy 2026–2029. Former ministers Milenko Stefanović, Miodrag Vlahović, Milan Roćen, Nebojša Kaluđerović, Ranko Krivokapić, and Filip Ivanović took part in the discussion.
Recognizing the valuable experience and contributions of Montenegro’s former foreign ministers, the meeting served as an opportunity to identify the key strengths and weaknesses of Montenegro’s foreign policy, as well as to discuss current international challenges, opportunities, and directions for further development of the diplomatic service.
Ibrahimović underlined that Montenegro is currently in a crucial stage of its development, standing in the final phase of the EU integration process.
Membership in the European Union has been a clear goal set almost two decades ago, but it does not mark the end of our journey – rather, a new beginning. This is the time to start thinking and acting as a future member of the European Union, Ibrahimović emphasized.
He added that Montenegro is aware of the many reforms and challenges ahead, particularly given limited resources, stressing that we need clear focus, coordination, and accountability for every step we take.
A special emphasis during the discussion was placed on the planning process, noting that the inclusion of all relevant stakeholders contributes to Montenegro’s interests, security, prosperity, and international reputation.
