Ivanović: Europe within reach – tangible benefits for citizens already visible

Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović stated that Montenegro is making steady progress in the process of European integration, with the goal of becoming the 28th member of the European Union by 2028.

Montenegro is closing negotiation chapters and implementing reforms to meet this objective. The country is also at the forefront of implementing the Reform Agenda, has recently joined SEPA, and as of the beginning of next year, citizens will no longer pay roaming charges when travelling within EU countries. These are only some of the tangible benefits that both citizens and businesses will soon feel, Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović said.

He emphasised that, alongside strong investment momentum, new projects, and the clear support of EU institutions – reflected in the messages of the President of the European Commission – the vision of Montenegro as a prosperous state for all its citizens and the next member of the European Union is becoming increasingly attainable.
