Marović, Zelioli: The new government is the most inclusive government so far

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs Jovana Marović met with Ambassador of Italy to Montenegro Luca Zelioli.

Marović informed the Ambassador about Government's key goals and tasks regarding the accession negotiations with the EU and the priorities of the Ministry of European Affairs. She used the opportunity to thank Italy for its continuous support to Montenegro in all areas, especially within the European integration process.

Ambassador Zelioli congratulated Minister Marović on her appointment and wished her and her team every success, emphasising that the Government of Italy is open to proposals for cooperation in the coming period. He added that they have high expectations of Montenegro.

The new government is the most inclusive government so far in the entire history of Montenegro, but it is important to strengthen the political dialogue in the coming period, the Ambassador said.

The two officials agreed that the focus in the coming period should be on the rule of law and obtaining final benchmarks in Chapters 23 and 24.
