Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović met today with HE Member of the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium and Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Belgian Parliament Els Van Hoof, and MEP and Co-Chair of the EU-Montenegro Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) Vladimir Bilčik.

At the meeting with Van Hoof, Radulović pointed out that Montenegro's foreign policy will not change, and that EU membership is the main foreign policy and national goal of Montenegro. Van Hoof pointed out the importance of Minister Radulović's participation in the Conference on the Future of Europe, and pointed out that Montenegro has the full support of Belgium on the path of reforms and faster integration into the EU.

The meeting with MEP Bilčik pointed out that the European Commission in this year's Progress Report praised 100% compliance with Europe's foreign and security policy, which was assessed as a strong signal of Montenegro's commitment to the European path.

Also, one of the important conditions for progress in reforms that would give additional impetus to Montenegro's membership in the EU is the strengthening of interparty political dialogue in Montenegro.

Minister Radulović said that the dynamics of negotiations are dictated by the progress in Chapters 23 and 24. The steps that the EU demands from us, as he said, are in line with our country's goal to show commitment to the European agenda through key reform processes. This was proven in the previous period by success achieved in the fight against organised crime, but also in the field of media freedoms, which the EC also recognised, the Minister said.
