Montenegro Officially Started Implementation of the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) Podgorica, 1 November 2025

Today, in Montenegro, the first declaration  was successfully submitted and goods were dispatched through the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS), which practically marked the beginning of the application of the common transit procedure.

With this step, Montenegro has officially joined the European “transit family” alongside the EU Member States, EFTA countries, the United Kingdom, Serbia, North Macedonia, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.

This milestone reaffirms Montenegro’s commitment to modernizing customs procedures, strengthening regional and European cooperation, and creating a more favorable business environment for international trade.
