National Security Council holds a session

The National Security Council held its fourth session today, chaired by Prime Minister and President of the Council Dritan Abazović.

The Council discussed, among other things, the analysis of the activities of the National Security Agency in combating Russian and other foreign malign influence in Montenegro, with reference to individuals on whom restrictive measures were imposed, with specific reasons for imposing those measures. The Council also discussed the appointment of the coordinator of the Operations Coordination Bureau.

The Council appointed Minister of Justice Marko Kovač as the coordinator of the Operations Coordination Bureau.

In accordance with Article 6 of the Rules of Procedure of the National Security Council, Director of the Police Administration Zoran Brđanin also attended the session.

The National Security Council consists of the President of the Council and following members: Marko Kovač, Minister of Justice, Filip Adžić, Minister of the Interior, Aleksandar Damjanović, Minister of Finance, Boris Milić, Acting Director of the National Security Agency, Milan Knežević, Chairperson of Security and Defence Committee of the Montenegrin Parliament Milan Knežević, Deputy Chairperson of Security and Defence Committee of the Montenegrin Parliament Mevludin Nuhodžić.
