Prime Minister Dritan Abazović attended today the opening of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The 77th session opens under the theme "A watershed moment: transformative sollutions to interlocking challenges". The theme stems from the recognition that the world is at a critical moment due to complex and interconnected crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, humanitarian challenges of unprecendeted nature, a tipping point in climate change as well as growing concerns about threats to the global economy. The high-level general debate will start today and will last for seven days. PM Abazović will address UNGA on 23 September.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ranko Krivokapić, Chargé d'Affaires at the Permanent Mission of Montenegro to the UN Dragana Šćepanović, and Prime Minister's Foreign Policy Adviser Đorđe Radulović are also at the UN headquarters.
