PM Krivokapić congratulates on International Roma Day: Full Inclusion of the Roma community is one of the Government's imperatives

Published on: Apr 8, 2021 9:30 AM Author: Office of the Prime Minister

On behalf of the Government and in his personal capacity, Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić congratulated the members of the Roma community on the International Roma Day.

I want all those who have found their 'wheel' of inexhaustible energy and their anthem of continuous migration in Montenegro to feel peace and freedom in which they can exercise all their unquestionable rights.

I hope that the people, whose name means Man, can recognise the ways and means through which all its capacities and talents will become a true social good in a state that declares itself as a civil community of equal peoples, cultures and religions, with meritorious and purposeful institutions of the system. Full inclusion of the Roma community in the Montenegrin health, school, economic, social and legal system is one of the Government's imperatives.

We are guided by the undeniable fact that there is no happy community without accomplished individuals, who are taken care of. Therefore, there can be neither free nor just Montenegro if members of the Roma community do not truly feel it as their warm and irreplaceable home, the Prime Minister's congratulatory message reads.
