PM Spajić participates in the World Economic Forum in Davos
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić is participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
This year’s 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, held under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue”, is taking place amid significant geopolitical, economic and technological changes, underscoring the need for stronger international cooperation and joint action to preserve stability and ensure sustainable development.
During his stay in Davos, Prime Minister Spajić will take part in a number of multilateral events, including the meeting “Japan: Navigating Geopolitical Change”, as well as “Dinner Dialogue – European Elections in a Competitive World” and “Reflections on the Leadership of Young Heads of State and Political Leaders”.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with high-level officials, including heads of government, heads of state, European Commissioners, as well as representatives of international organizations and the global business community.
Participation in one of the most influential global forums of today provides an opportunity for the exchange of views on key global and regional issues, as well as for promoting Montenegro as a stable and attractive investment destination.
Meetings of the Government of Montenegro delegation are particularly significant given that the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum is being held at the beginning of a year in which Montenegro marks twenty years since the restoration of its independence, while, in the final phase of EU accession negotiations, it is assuming important regional and European responsibilities.
The World Economic Forum, held annually in late January in Davos, Switzerland since 1971, brings together political, economic, business, academic and other leaders from a wide range of countries, sectors and communities, with the aim of addressing contemporary global challenges through open dialogue and promoting sustainable and socially responsible growth and development policies.
