Bečić commends Police Directorate for preventing attempted assassination through swift action

I congratulate the Police Directorate on a successful operation that prevented an attempted assassination. Officers from the Regional Centre ‘South’ – Kotor Security Department arrested three Serbian nationals who, according to suspicions, formed a criminal group under the orders of a Montenegrin national from Nikšić with the aim of executing a targeted killing in Kotor.

The investigation established that the suspects had carefully planned the attack: they rented an apartment in Budva, monitored the victim’s movements, and prepared the scene for the assault. The group’s organizer, a Montenegrin national from Nikšić, was also arrested and criminally charged for organized criminal association.

Despite numerous challenges, the Police Directorate continues its unwavering fight against organized crime, sending a clear message: no criminal group will be above the law.
