Prime Minister takes part in the Fortune Global Forum in Riyadh

Spajić spoke on the panel “Montenegro: Small nation, big ambitions”: Open and ready for major investments, success is our identity
By implementing wide-ranging reforms, creating a competitive business environment, and launching a major investment cycle, Montenegro – now in the final stage of its path toward the European Union – is the right place for investment, said Prime Minister Milojko Spajić at the Fortune Global Forum in Riyadh.
As an honorary speaker on the panel “Montenegro: Small nation, big ambitions”, Prime Minister Spajić presented the Government’s key reforms and development plans, particularly in the fields of energy, tourism, and technology.
Montenegro is entering a decisive stage in its European integration. Rich in diversity and the most ethnically diverse country in Europe, we build our progress on compromise. No group – ethnic or religious – is dominant in our society. On key issues, agreement is essential, and we must all work together to reach everyone and open our doors to all. That is why success is our identity, Prime Minister Spajić said.
He emphasized that the ongoing reforms, Montenegro’s membership in SEPA, one of the most competitive tax systems in Europe with the lowest labour costs and among the lowest income and corporate tax rates, together with progress in the rule of law, make Montenegro an attractive and reliable destination for investors – creating an opportunity for both the state and investors to benefit.
Asked what message he wished to send to potential investors, the Prime Minister underlined openness.
We are a country of opportunities. Come and experience Montenegro – seeing is believing, said Prime Minister Spajić, adding that Montenegro currently lacks sufficient workforce capacity for new investments and is therefore open to welcoming foreign experts who would lead major projects.
He stated that energy, sustainable tourism, transport infrastructure, and information and communication technologies are the cornerstones of Montenegro’s Smart Growth Strategy.
Introducing him as one of the youngest leaders in the world, questions to Prime Minister Spajić at the Fortune Global Forum focused on the ambitious reform agenda, EU accession, regional stabilization, and foreign investment attraction.
The Fortune Global Forum, organized in partnership with Fortune Media, brings together the world’s most influential business and political leaders to exchange views on the forces shaping global markets and investment flows.
This year’s Forum is dedicated to the theme “The Great Convergence”, with the participation of heads of government, ministers, CEOs, investors, and leaders from around the world.
