Roadmap for cooperation between Montenegro and EASO signed

Minister of the Interior Sergej Sekulović and Executive Director of the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) Nina Gregori signed the Roadmap for Cooperation between Montenegro and EASO (2022-2023), which envisages further strengthening of the existing partnership.

The Roadmap additionally specifies support of the EASO in strengthening asylum systems and reception in accordance with the common European asylum system and EU standards, and therefore is generally aimed at improving the protection space for foreigners seeking international protection in Montenegro in accordance with the CEAS (Common European Asylum System) and practices of EU Member States.

This is another, very important step on Montenegro's integration path within the Chapter 24, said Minister Sekulović.
