Issue of driver’s license recognition in Germany to be resolved – Spajić to sign Declaration in Berlin today
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has travelled to Berlin, where he will today sign, on behalf of Montenegro, a Joint Declaration of Intent on procedures for the mutual recognition of driver’s licenses with the Federal Minister of Transport of the Federal Republic of Germany, Patrick Schnieder.
With the signing of this declaration, following years of negotiations, the conditions will be created for the exchange of Montenegrin driver’s licenses for German ones without the requirement to take an additional driving exam for obtaining a German driver’s license.
By finalizing this process, the Government will significantly facilitate the work and residence of Montenegrin citizens temporarily staying in the Federal Republic of Germany.
During his working visit to Berlin on 17 and 18 December, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić will also hold meetings with members of the Committee on European Affairs of the German Bundestag, State Minister for Europe Gunther Krichbaum, and Michael Clauß, European Policy Adviser to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
It is also planned that, as part of the visit to Germany, the Prime Minister and his delegation will visit the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
