Várhelyi: I came with a clear message – We are all set to close the interim benchmarks

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić extended a cordial welcome to European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, who is visiting Montenegro today and tomorrow.

Várhelyi posted on X that he came with a clear message that Montenegro is the most advanced candidate country in its accession negotiations.

Our aim is to drive Montenegro forward to the next level. We are all set to close the interim benchmarks. We are committed to move forward, he stated.

Prime Minister Spajić thanked Commissioner Várhelyi for the firm support.

With such an encouragement, we will continue the work on our EU path even stronger, the Prime Minister posted on X.

The Prime Minister will host a dinner tonight (27 February) at Villa Gorica at 20:00 in honor of the visit of European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi.

Accompanying the Prime Minister in the delegation will be Ministers Maida Gorčević, Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, Filip Radulović, and Saša Mujović.

The Public Relations Service will provide video, photo, and a press release from the meeting.
