Zoran Miljanić

Minister without Portfolio

Zoran Miljanić was born on 29 November 1965 in Titograd, where he completed his primary and secondary education.

He graduated from the Faculty of Security in Skopje in 1988, obtaining a degree in criminalistics. He then pursued postgraduate studies in the field of criminalistics.

He began his professional career in the Republic of Montenegro's Internal Affairs Service (RSUP) and worked there until the end of 1989.

From 1990 to 1998, he worked in the criminal police of Macedonia (now the Republic of North Macedonia), where he held the position of head of the crime prevention sector at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

From 1998 to 2012, he engaged in private entrepreneurship before embarking on a political career.

He served as a member of the Parliament of Montenegro from 2012 to October 2016, where he played important roles in the Committee on Security and Defense, the Anti-Corruption Committee, and the Human Rights Committee.

In 2018, he was elected as the Secretary General of the Citizens' Union CIVIS.

In December 2020, he assumed the position of State Secretary at the Ministry the Interior of Montenegro, which he held until April 2022.

Zoran Miljanić is multilingual, being fluent in Macedonian and English.

Mr. Miljanić is currently serving as the Minister without Portfolio in charge of implementing anti-corruption policy.
