Financial Perspective 2014–2020 (IPA II)

Through the Financial Perspective 2014–2020 (IPA II), Montenegro had access to funds in the amount of approximately EUR 279 million. This European Union assistance was aimed at supporting reforms that prepare Montenegro for EU membership.

Support was organized through eight priority sectors: democracy and governance, rule of law and fundamental rights, environment and climate action, transport, competitiveness and innovation, education, employment and social policy, agriculture and rural development, and regional and territorial cooperation.

Key documents that defined this cooperation include the Indicative Strategy Paper for Montenegro (ISPCG), the Framework Agreement between Montenegro and the European Commission, as well as sectoral agreements related to specific areas of support.
