Vienna: Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić meets with OSCE Secretary-General Lamberto Zanier

Vienna, Austria (11 March 2016) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić is paying a working visit to international organisations seated in Vienna. On the second day of his visit, Mr Lukšić met with OSCE Secretary-General Lamberto Zanier.

During the meeting, both sides welcomed the continued fruitful cooperation between Montenegro and the OSCE institutions. Mr Zanier welcomed Montenegro’s progress on its European and Euro-Atlantic paths, as well as the country’s commitment to meeting all its obligations towards the OSCE. As regards domestic political developments, Mr Lukšić informed Mr Zanier about the current state of affairs in Montenegro. Mr Zanier noted that the OSCE will continue supporting Montenegrin institutions in all phases of the election process, bearing in mind the importance of fully applying the election legislation.

The two officials discussed further engagement of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro with the view to ensuring that its programmes would in the best possible way reflect Montenegro’s needs in European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes.
