Prime Minister Dritan Abazović spoke at the Western Balkans Summit against racial discrimination, organised by the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.

The event was opened by Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti, while Prime Minister Dritan Abazović addressed the participants via video link. PM Abazović spoke on the panel entitled "Efforts of the region in the fight against racial discrimination".

Prime Minister Abazović said that he is convinced that the discussion will contribute to regional cooperation and the affirmation of the fundamental principles enumerated in the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination from 1965.

It is very important to recognise the importance of regional cooperation in this field, with a special emphasis on region's rapid European integration. I hope that concrete conclusions will emerge from today's discussion in order to stand in the way of racial discrimination as decisively and efficiently as possible, the Prime Minister concluded.
