Abazović, Frangeš: Appointment of Constitutional Court judges is a priority

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met with Special Envoy of Slovenia for the Western Balkans Anžej Frangeš, who is paying a visit to Montenegro.

Prime Minister Abazović briefed Mr. Frangeš about Government's activities with special emphasis on the adoption of the budget proposal for 2023 and pointed out that the further development and improvement of the quality of life of citizens are the priority of the Government's work. He expressed his satisfaction with the economic results and stressed that the Government firmly remains on its Euro-Atlantic course.

Mr. Frangeš thanked the Prime Minister for the reception and reiterated Slovenia's support for the European integration of Montenegro, emphasising that advancing on the European path is important for all Montenegrin citizens.

The two officials exchanged opinions on the current socio-political situation and agreed that the appointment of judges of the Constitutional Court is a priority, and that it is necessary to reach a consensus of all political structures as soon as possible in order to preserve democratic processes.

Ambassador of Slovenia to Montenegro Gregor Presker also attended the meeting.
