Abazović presents situation in Montenegro to Foreign Affairs Committee MEPs in Brussels

Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović will deliver an address at the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) in order to exchange views on the Draft Report on the 2019-2020 Commission Reports on Montenegro, the situation in Montenegro and the scope of negotiations with the European Union.

Before addressing the MEPs, DPM Abazović will meet with Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) David McAllister. Montenegro's Chief Negotiator with the EU Zorka Kordić, Prime Minister's Adviser Vanja Radević and Deputy Prime Minister's Adviser Filip Adžić will also attend the meeting.

Members of AFET, the Committee that monitors the implementation of the common foreign and security policy of the EU and which aims to strengthen and ensure democracy, rule of law and human rights, discussed the Draft Report on the 2019-2020 Commission Reports on Montenegro at the regular session on 22 February. Abazović will deliver his address ahead of vote, expected in April, and the adoption of the Report on the 2019-2020 Commission Reports on Montenegro during a plenary session in May.
