Abazović takes part in Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister-designate Dritan Abazović attended the official opening ceremony of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the opening ceremony.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, Andrzej Duda, President of Poland, Mohamed Bazoum, President of Niger, Borut Pahor, President of Slovenia, and Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General will speak at the first panel of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum "Price of Peace or Cost of War".

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović will participate in the panel "Paths to Peace and Prosperity - Reconciliatory Dialogue in the Balkans", alongside Miroslav Lajčák, EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues, Bisera Turković, Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, and Bujar Osmani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia.

Earlier today, DPM Abazović had a bilateral meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, during which they agreed that the war in Ukraine showed why it is important to continue the EU enlargement process.

On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, DPM Abazović had several meetings, including with the Foreign Ministers of Italy and North Macedonia, Luigi Di Maio and Bujar Osmani, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Latvia Artis Pabriks.

Antalya Diplomacy Forum is a high-level gathering of professionals who deal with diplomacy such as political leaders, diplomats, opinion makers or academics. It presents an excellent platform for regional and global actors from the spheres of diplomacy, policy, and business to exchange ideas and address international challenges. The participants will address a wide range of topics in international relations under the overarching theme of “Recoding Diplomacy”. Humanity needs robust diplomacy to resolve tensions, manage change, facilitate adaptation and promote cooperation.
