Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić is in constant communication with Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and Bishop Joanikije of Budva-Nikšić. The agreement that the Government of Montenegro will sign with the Serbian Orthodox Church will be fully harmonised between the Government of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Church, respecting the legal order of the state and the canonical and organisational structure of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The draft agreement adopted by the Holy Synod was submitted to the Government of Montenegro, and the Government will soon respond officially, after determining whether all provisions of the draft agreement are in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Montenegro.

The agreement will be presented to the public and will be signed by Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and Prime Minister Krivokapić.

We are looking forward to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije coming to Montenegro soon.
