Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović took part in an extraordinary meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Brussels.

The allies discussed the issue of Russian aggression against Ukraine, as well as further steps aimed at protecting the security of the Euro-Atlantic region, and called on Russia to immediately stop the attacks and withdraw all its forces.

Minister Radulović reiterated support for preserving Ukraine's independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty, in accordance with its internationally recognised borders, emphasising that Montenegro stands by the people of Ukraine and its democratically elected leaders and institutions.

He welcomed all the measures taken by the Alliance to protect the allies. In the context of facing the greatest threat to European security since the World War II, Minister Radulović especially emphasised the importance of close cooperation with the EU and other international actors.

Regarding the situation in the Western Balkans and the possible consequences that the war in Ukraine may have for our region, Minister Radulović pointed out that the aggression against Ukraine calls for caution when it comes to stability and security in this area. The Foreign Minister reiterated that the accelerated European and Euro-Atlantic perspective is the only answer and guarantor of both our and European stability.

In the context of sending humanitarian and military aid, Minister Radulović informed the allies that Montenegro is determined to show solidarity with Ukraine in these difficult times, and that it will opt for humanitarian, as well as aid in military equipment.
