Borovinić Bojović meets Turkish delegation: Strengthening partnership for better and more accessible healthcare

Deputy Prime Minister for Health and Social Welfare Jelena Borovinić Bojović met with a delegation of the Republic of Türkiye and representatives of the International Health Services Inc. (USHAŞ), with whom she discussed enhancing cooperation in the fields of healthcare and social protection.

The meeting focused on the exchange of knowledge and best practices, strengthening professional and institutional capacities, as well as education and professional development for healthcare workers.

Cooperation with the Republic of Türkiye and the exchange of experiences can make a significant contribution to enhancing the professional competencies of healthcare workers and, consequently, to providing higher-quality healthcare to our citizens, Borovinić Bojović said.

She stressed that skilled and dedicated healthcare workers are the foundation of a reliable healthcare system, which is why continued investment in their knowledge and professional development will remain one of the key priorities.

Representatives of the Turkish delegation expressed their readiness to further enhance cooperation through the exchange of professional expertise and the implementation of concrete initiatives of mutual interest.

The delegation of the Republic of Türkiye was headed by H.E. Ayda Ünlü, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Montenegro; Aziz Alper Biten, Director General for European Union and Foreign Affairs; and Serdar Şenol, General Manager of USHAŞ, together with representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, USHAŞ and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Podgorica. Nađa Laković, Member of the Parliament of Montenegro, also attended the meeting.
