Cabinet adopts Annex to the EC Progress Report on Montenegro

The Annex submitted by Montenegro represents an important starting point for the European Commission in drafting its annual report on Montenegro, which states the results achieved and gives recommendations for further work, said Chief Negotiator Zorka Kordić at today's Cabinet session.

The Annex includes implemented activities related to the strategic and legislative framework, implementation of the acquis and other results relevant to the negotiation process for the period from 15 June 2021 to 20 March 2022, as well as statistical data related to administrative capacity, economic and financial indicators and similar reporting for the period 1 January 2021 – 31 December 2021.

The document follows the concept of the 2021 European Commission Progress Report on Montenegro, and is harmonised with the revised methodology of EU enlargement and the cluster approach, which groups related chapters into 6 thematic units.
