Minister of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media Tamara Srzentić, during her stay in the United States of America, met with Jennifer Pahlka, founder of Code for America, one of the largest technology movements, who will help with her experience and best practices in further development of the same concept in Montenegro - Code for Montenegro.

Pahlka is known for her TED talk, Coding a Better Government, and is the recipient of several awards, including the National Democratic Institute’s Democracy Award and being named by Wired as one of the 25 people who has most shaped the past 25 years.

Through Code for Montenegro we want to encourage the connection of citizens and technologists from Montenegro, the region and the world and as a result make available innovations that make citizens' lives easier. We will do this with the help of the Code for Montenegro platform, which will enable greater involvement of citizens in shaping public policies and programmes of interest to all, helping technologists develop open source platforms that solve everyday challenges of our citizens and contribute to promoting openness and technology in public administration, Srzentić explained.

She once again pointed out that citizens are at the centre of development of all public services and the entire process of digital transformation.
