On the second day of the autumn meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Marrakech, Minister of Finance Aleksandar Damjanović and his team held several meetings with representatives of investment banks, including BancTrust & Co Investment, JP Morgan, MUFG Bank, and Societe Generale.

Minister Damjanović informed his banking sector counterparts about the financial and economic prospects of Montenegro. Subsequently, they engaged in detailed discussions about the state of financial markets and the possibilities of securing financing for Montenegro in the international capital market.

It was noted that, in a global context of uncertainty, Montenegro must carefully assess its options and ways to access international financial markets. It is necessary to continue the responsible management of public debt to create the necessary reserve for the timely repayment of Montenegro's obligations to international creditors in the future.

By the end of this year's session, the team led by Minister Damjanović anticipates several more meetings with representatives of leading global financial institutions, the banking sector, and bilateral meetings with representatives of member countries.
