DPM Abazović meets with French Ambassador Christian Thimonier

We must unblock Montenegro's European path and take a far more resolute approach to meet the provisional benchmarks in key chapters 23 and 24, as basic preconditions for Montenegro's further integration progress, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović at a meeting with Ambassador of France to Montenegro Christian Thimonier.

Abazović pointed out that the two countries continue to have excellent cooperation during French presidency of the Council of the European Union, and that Montenegro will especially try to use France's focus on the Western Balkans in 2022. In that sense, Abazović emphasised the importance of achieving progress in Chapters 23 and 24, concerning the fight against corruption and organised crime, and the need to unblock the judicial system.
