DPM Aleksić meets with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Montenegro Chen Xufeng

Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science and Relations with Religious Communities Budimir Aleksić received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Montenegro, H.E. Chen Xufeng. The meeting highlighted the traditionally good relations between Montenegro and China, as well as opportunities to further advance and deepen mutual cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister Aleksić emphasized that Montenegro is particularly interested in strengthening cooperation in the fields of science, technology, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, education, culture, and inter-university partnerships. He underlined that the firm foundation of the two countries’ friendly relations is built precisely on strong cultural exchange and an exceptionally high level of mutual understanding when it comes to strategic orientations.

Ambassador Chen Xufeng stressed that next year will mark two decades since the restoration of Montenegro’s independence and the simultaneous establishment of diplomatic relations between Montenegro and the People’s Republic of China. He recalled that economic cooperation has been especially fruitful, adding that in a historical sense, the shared resistance to fascism represents an additional bond, as well as the mutual respect for each country’s development visions.
