DPM Aleksić opens the First Balkan Small-Format Sculpture Triennial in Danilovgrad

Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science, and Relations with Religious Communities Budimir Aleksić officially opened the First Balkan Small-Format Sculpture Triennial in Danilovgrad.

Today we lay a new cornerstone for cultural and artistic cooperation in our region – we are inaugurating the First Balkan Small-Format Sculpture Triennial. We have the privilege of witnessing works by leading sculptors from eight countries in the region: Serbia, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and, of course, our Montenegro. This event is not only an aesthetic gathering and a showcase of artistic creativity. It is proof that the Balkans, despite all its differences and complexities, share a common cultural space that is strong and recognizable. Here, right in Danilovgrad, borders cease to be dividing lines and become places of encounter, tolerance, cultural and artistic achievements, and genuine closeness, stated Deputy Prime Minister Aleksić.

He emphasized that this is one of the most significant events in the cultural history of Montenegro concerning sculptural art and highlighted that the Danilovgrad Art Colony is an institution the entire country takes pride in.
