DPM Budimir Aleksić visits the University of Montenegro

Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science and Relations with Religious Communities Budimir Aleksić paid a working visit today to the University of Montenegro, where he met with Rector Vladimir Božović to discuss the strategic directions for the development of higher education.

During the meeting, Rector Božović presented the key elements of the University’s development strategy, emphasizing that internationalization and interdisciplinarity are priorities for the upcoming period.

It was noted that the continuous improvement of study programmes directly contributes to the University’s stronger positioning on prestigious international rankings.

Deputy Prime Minister Aleksić expressed the full support of the Government of Montenegro for the efforts undertaken by the academic community to modernize the education process.

The University of Montenegro is a place where raw potential is transformed into expertise, and curiosity into innovation. It is the lifeblood of Montenegrin society’s development, a pillar and guarantee of a secure future, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksić stated.

During the discussions, it was concluded that a strong link between the executive branch and the country’s leading higher education institution is essential for strengthening research capacities, improving the infrastructure of faculty units, and aligning the education system with the needs of the modern labour market.
