DPM Gjeloshaj meets with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy Nik Gjeloshaj met today with the Albanian delegation led by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Igli Hasani.

Montenegro and Albania have excellent bilateral relations strengthened by their NATO membership. Based on these foundations, the two governments must work on improving transport connectivity to enhance economic cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas, the officials agreed.

Gjeloshaj briefed Minister Hasani on the priorities of the 44th Government and emphasised that Montenegro remains committed to the Euro-Atlantic path.

Montenegro is a partner and friend of the Republic of Albania; we continue to support our common Euro-Atlantic path. I believe that in the near future, we will have a certain and shared European perspective, said the Deputy Prime Minister.

During the meeting, discussions focused on potential cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, and infrastructure. They particularly highlighted the possibility of initiating joint projects and enhancing cooperation at the regional level.

In conclusion, the excellent relations between Montenegro and Albania were emphasised, and a commitment to continuing collaboration in areas of mutual interest was agreed upon.
