Accelerating all obligations arising from European integration is an absolute priority, and the relevant regulations are high on the Government's agenda on a weekly basis, said Chief Negotiator Zorka Kordić at the Cabinet session.

At today's session, the Cabinet adopted two reports covering the most important activities from the process of Montenegro's accession in the first half of the year – the Thirtieth quarterly report on overall activities within the process of Montenegro's integration into the European Union for the period April-June 2021, as well as the Fifteenth semi-annual report on overall activities within the process of Montenegro's integration into the European Union for the period January-June 2021.

These documents provide an overview of the implemented obligations in the context of the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, as well as Montenegro's progress in the negotiation process, with special focus on negotiations in Chapters 23 and 24, and provide an overview of Montenegro's political dialogue with the European Union.

The Chief Negotiator pointed out that the quarterly and semi-annual reports confirm the good cooperation between the Parliament and the Government in the process of European integration, which is based on the Resolution on the manner, quality and dynamics of the integration process of Montenegro to the European Union from 2013.

These activities confirm the full commitment of the Government and the negotiating structure to fulfilling all obligations from the negotiation process and taking an equal place in the family of European nations, Kordić concluded.
