Groundbreaking ceremony for the General Hospital in Pljevlja tomorrow
Minister of Public Works Majda Adžović and Minister of Health Vojislav Šimun will lay the foundation stone tomorrow, 15 April 2026, in Pljevlja for the construction of the new General Hospital.
The event will take place at 3:00 PM, at the location designated for the construction of the facility:

Following the ceremony, statements for the media are planned, including addresses by Government representatives and Director of the hospital Saša Grbović.
The General Hospital building in Pljevlja has 5 levels, of which two are intended for an underground garage and technical premises, the basement level for service facilities (kitchen, laundry, sterilisation) and partly for medical services, the ground floor intended for the polyclinic, emergency and surgical block, and the upper floor reserved for inpatient wards.
The total gross area of all levels amounts to 27,487.87 m².
Contractor: Consortium Termomont from Belgrade and IGP Fidija from Podgorica. The contracted value for the preparation of project documentation and execution of works on the construction of the General Hospital in Pljevlja, under the “design and build” principle, amounts to €38,694,602.10.
Supervision: Urbi.pro from Podgorica. The contracted value of supervision services amounts to €605,000.00.
In the facility, the following contents are planned: emergency centre with vehicle access and parking space for ambulances, histopathology laboratory, diagnostic polyclinic with separate controlled entrances in relation to the organised content, laboratory, radiology, surgery with intensive care, pediatrics connected with the pediatric inpatient ward on the upper floor, administration with a separate entrance and all accompanying premises.
On the upper floor of the facility, inpatient wards are planned, which are connected through vertical communications with the necessary hospital blocks on the ground floor and basement level of the facility, namely: coronary unit (5 patient beds), intensive care (5 patient beds), internal medicine (20 patient beds), cardiology (10 patient beds), neurology and psychiatry (10 patient beds), surgery and orthopedics (40 patient beds), gynecology (10 patient beds) and pediatrics (20 patient beds), with all accompanying and auxiliary premises.
