Ibrahimović meets with US Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Capital Investments Ervin Ibrahimović met today with Ambassador of the United States of America to Montenegro Judy Rising Reinke.

The two officials agreed on the importance of the present moment and the importance of stronger promotion of the potential of the Montenegrin economy and attracting foreign capital.

Minister Ibrahimović pointed out that the priority and focus of activities must be on the dedicated work of institutions on strengthening the economic stability of all citizens of Montenegro, which is one of the key factors of progress on Montenegro's European path.

One of the goals of the new Government must be to create a positive climate in society. We need to deal with all issues efficiently and productively and solve the challenges that lie ahead in order for Montenegro to become a full-fledged member of the European Union as soon as possible, said Ibrahimović.

The Ambassador of the United States of America used the opportunity to congratulate the Deputy Prime Minister on his appointment and express her satisfaction regarding the meeting.

The two officials agreed that supporting the new, reform and pro-European Government in such challenging times is a strong message that we must be united on the European path and give our full contribution, while working to strengthen stability in the country and the Western Balkans.

The Ambassador emphasised that American investors are interested in investing in Montenegro, especially in the field of electricity production from renewable sources. The meeting also discussed planned and ongoing projects in the field of road infrastructure, maritime sector and air transport.

Today's meeting is a great opportunity to confirm our readiness to improve relations and contribute to the development of joint projects through the cooperation of institutions of the two countries, but also to send a clear message to foreign investors about the potentials of the Montenegrin economy, said Minister Ibrahimović.
