Montenegro to become full member of Paris MoU on Port State Control

The delegation of the Ministry of Capital Investments, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Capital Investments ‎Ervin Ibrahimović‎, is paying a working visit to Slovenia in order to sign the agreement on Montenegro's accession to the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control.‎

‎As of 1 July 2023, Montenegro will be a full member of the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control.‎

Deputy ‎Prime Minister Ervin Ibrahimović‎ and Secretary-General at the Secretariat of the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control Luc Smulders‎‎ signed the document today in Slovenia.‎

Montenegro has harmonised its legal regulations, provided the necessary professional staff and thus created conditions for the application of the Paris Memorandum in Montenegro, Ibrahimović said.‎

‎DPM Ibrahimović stressed that this is a remarkable success for Montenegro, adding that it represents the fulfillment of one of the key obligations related to the Chapter 14 – Transport policy.‎
