This meeting marked the continuation of the successful collaboration between the Ministry of Capital Investments and the World Bank. A testament to this fruitful partnership is the recent signing of an agreement in February of this year, securing the largest-ever support from the World Bank to Montenegro for the transportation sector through the Trade and Transport Facilitation Project for the Western Balkans. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the ongoing cooperation and explore avenues for further improvement, both in the transportation and energy sectors.

During the meeting, Mr. Sheldon also informed about the World Bank's support for the reconstruction of the Foča-Hum road, concerning Bosnia and Herzegovina's forthcoming application to the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans. This application aims to secure support for the construction of a bridge over the Tara River with access roads on both sides, a project that Montenegro is committed to supporting, in accordance with a previously reached agreement.
