Lieutenant Colonel Veljko Malisic was born on 29 March 1976 in Tuzla.

Education

He finished primary school in Tuzla in 1990. After graduating from the high school of mechanical engineering, he graduated from the Military Technical Academy in 1999, as an officer of the technical service and a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, specialty - motorcycle engineering.

Career

He began his military career in October 1999 at the 367th Naval Rear Base in Kumbor, as a technologist in a technical maintenance warehouse. Thereafter until 2009, he performed several command duties – Technical Maintenance Platoon Leader, Rear Company Leader, Logistics Battalion Commander, Manager of the Collection and Sales Centre in the same unit.

In April 2009, he was appointed Independent Codification Adviser in the Ministry of Defence. After successfully performing the duty of Commander of the II Montenegrin Contingent in the ISAF Mission in Afghanistan, in July 2012 he took over the duty of the Head of the Department for Military-Military Cooperation (J-5) in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro. In July 2015, after graduating from the Command and Staff College, he was appointed Head of the Logistics Directorate, Directorate for Material Resources, Ministry of Defence. As of January 2021, he has been the Acting Director General of the Logistics Directorate in the Ministry of Defence.

Advancement

He received his master's degree in 2012 from the University of Montenegro in the field of introducing the NATO codification system in Montenegro, and then in 2015 he completed his training at the Command and Staff College in Kansas, USA. During his career, he attended courses in the field of security, logistics, procurement, standardization and codification.

He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in 2012.

He is married and has two children.
