"The 44th government has shown positive results, but it is crucial to maintain this trajectory and preserve political stability," conveyed the UK Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach, during a meeting with Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.

Prime Minister Spajić briefed Lord Peach on the government's plans for the year 2024, reflecting on activities during the first two months of the mandate.

In just two months, we have laid a solid foundation for 2024, and I believe we have reasons for optimism regarding the achievement of our goals, primarily improving citizens' standards, progressing in European integration, strengthening the rule of law, and further economic development, stated Prime Minister Spajić.

"The continuation of the fight against corruption and organised crime, the enhancement of capacities to combat disinformation, and highly professional institutions are strategically important for the development of Montenegro and its European perspective. The 44th government has already demonstrated positive results, and it is necessary to maintain the current course," Lord Peach emphasised.

The meeting addressed regional opportunities, with Lord Peach highlighting the importance of maintaining regional stability continuity. He particularly emphasised the significance of stability in Montenegro to ensure essential reforms.

The British Ambassador to Montenegro, Dawn McKen, also attended the meeting.
