Northstar presents project worth 400 million euros, 500 new jobs planned

The Government of Montenegro supports projects aimed at promoting Montenegro as a luxury tourist destination and improving the image of our country as a tourist destination, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović after the meeting with representatives of Northstar.

Representatives of Northstar thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for the reception and readiness to listen to the problems they face during the implementation of the project. They presented to DPM Abazović in detail the project of building a luxury hotel, luxury tourist villas and a condo hotel in Luštica, which involves an investment worth about 400 million euros and 500 new jobs.

Representatives of Northstar pointed out that they had previously signed a contract with the hotel operator Marriott.

Deputy Prime Minister Abazović said that such projects have the support of the Government and that they should be developed in order to better present Montenegro as a luxury tourist destination. Noting the obvious infrastructural problems that slow down the implementation of this project, Abazović pointed out that Montenegro's goal is to attract direct foreign investments and remove barriers concerning the implementation of similar projects.

The meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Abazović and his advisers  Filip Adžić and Ivo Šoć were attended by investors: Emira SoccoroImad MahmoudAngel RodriguezVladimir Čvorović, and Stefan Nikčević.
