PM Krivokapić hosts Israel's Ambassador Yahel Vilan

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić met today with the non-resident Ambassador of Israel to Montenegro Yahel Vilan.

Prime Minister Krivokapić thanked for the partnership and significant cooperation achieved in the field of defence, and expressed the need for Montenegro to intensify the process of expanding, concluding or renewing bilateral agreements, especially in the field of economy, tourism and science. The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of activities of the Consulate of Montenegro in Israel and expressed his belief that the future activities of the Israeli Consulate in Montenegro will be a significant link between the two friendly countries.

The two officials agreed that the diplomatic relationship between the two countries could soon be strengthened by opening the Embassy of Montenegro in Israel.

Ambassador Vilan expressed satisfaction that the focus of the talks was on economic issues and that Israel and its investors have an interest in being a reliable partner in economic activities in Montenegro. Ambassador Vilan said that he expected Prime Minister Krivokapić to visit Israel soon, and that most of the agreements that would improve and strengthen bilateral relations would be signed during that visit.

Thanking for the care and attention shown by the state of Montenegro towards the Jewish community in Montenegro, Ambassador Vilan expressed satisfaction that he will meet with Prime Minister Krivokapić on 21 October in Budva, where the Prime Minister will officially open the 8th conference "Mahar" - a traditional gathering of Jewish communities in Southeast Europe.
