PM Krivokapić pays a visit to General Hospital in Berane

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, during his working visit to Berane, visited the General Hospital in Berane and talked with Director of this respectable health institution Milorad Magdelinić.

Prime Minister Krivokapić pointed out that he highly appreciates the work and dedication that has been proven again by all health workers in Montenegro during the most critical moments caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and that the pandemic has confirmed that investment in healthcare, science and research, engineering and technology must be selfless and constant.

New times imply new challenges and innovative approaches and tools. The Government will help your hospital to complete the started projects that are important for both Berane and the entire north, and it will continue to do so continuously, PM Krivokapić said.

We must stop politicisation of jobs, especially in healthcare. We need professionalism and the right of every citizen to be treated equally before a judge, a doctor and a teacher. We must eradicate all forms of corruption, Krivokapić said.

Director of the General Hospital Milorad Magdelinić,thanked Prime Minister Krivokapić for his understanding of the hospital needs.

Magdelinić informed the Prime Minister about the statistical data that show that the number of patients with malignant, endocrine and cardiovascular diseases is increasing, and pointed out the lack of PCR laboratory, which is necessary for citizens in the north.
