PM Krivokapić to pay two-day visit to the United Kingdom and meet with Boris Johnson

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić will pay a visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Tuesday and Wednesday, 6 and 7 July 2021.

During his two-day visit, Prime Minister Krivokapić will meet with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson and other British officials. It will be the first bilateral meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries in their history.

Montenegro and Great Britain nurture traditionally good and friendly relations and share a common system of Euro-Atlantic values, so Prime Minister Krivokapić's visit to London will be aimed at further strengthening them, since Great Britain is a very important and reliable foreign policy partner of Montenegro, especially when it comes to the alliance within NATO. The visit will be of particular importance in order to ensure the continuation of British support for Montenegro's reform process, aimed at further democratic uplift and institutional strengthening.

Furthermore, the visit is a confirmation of the increasingly intensive political dialogue that the two countries are developing, but it is also an opportunity to raise issues of mutual interest and exchange experiences on how to achieve strategic goals.

The Government delegation will also include Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović, and Director of the National Security Agency Dejan Vukšić.
