PMQs - PM Krivokapić: Deadline for proposing the Budget expires at midnight on 31 March

Published on: Apr 28, 2021 4:15 PM Author: Office of the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić said that there is a standard that calculates time very clearly and precisely.

In this case, by applying the standard, the deadline for proposing the budget by 31 March, implies that this deadline expires on 31 March at midnight, said Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić answering the question of Dragutin Papović from the MP Group Democratic Party of Socialists and the Liberal Party.

Prime Minister Krivokapić said that the Law on administrative procedure stipulates that the deadline determined in months or years shall end with the expiration of that day of the month or year which corresponds, in its number, with the day when the delivery was made.

PM Krivokapić presented two examples, which clearly show that the former Government and the Parliament violated the Constitution.

The Prime Minister said that the Government would last four years, because it was elected by the people with 41 MPs.
