Spajić: Singapore a role model for efficient governance and discipline

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić met today with President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

The importance of the strategic positions of the two countries was highlighted, particularly in the context of connecting Southeast Asia and Southeast Europe.

During the meeting, the possibility of cooperation in training programs implemented by Singapore was discussed, with the aim of strengthening governance models across various sectors.

Prime Minister Spajić emphasized that efficiency and discipline are particularly important in the context of Montenegro’s European integration, noting that despite limited human resources, Montenegro is rapidly closing negotiating chapters with the goal of becoming a full member of the European Union by 2028.

As stated, Singapore represents the best example of how a small country, through strong institutions, zero tolerance for corruption, efficiency, and discipline, can achieve exceptional development and global relevance.
