Montenegro wants to continue to have the best possible bilateral relations with Slovenia, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said during a meeting with Slovenian Ambassador, Bernarda Gradišnik.

We consider Slovenia very close and we want the best relations with Slovenia, that is why we expect you to help us make our voice heard more strongly in Brussels than before. We want to replicate the example of Slovenia in the process of EU integration, said the Prime Minister.

Excellent bilateral cooperation was highlighted, but also room to further improve and use Slovenia's experience in the economy, energy...

Ambassador Gradišnik emphasized that Montenegro could become part of the European Union even before 2030.

"We are happy that you got the Government and that things are moving forward. There was a great response to the non-paper that Slovenia, along with several other countries, submitted a few days ago, with the idea that Montenegro and other countries in the region should join the European Union as soon as possible. We are here to help in every way to make it happen," said Gradišnik.

Prime Minister Spajić promised concrete steps on the EU path, especially regarding the fulfillment of the requirements from Chapters 23 and 24.
