Prime Minister with representatives of the EBRD and the World Bank: Development projects in focus

The development priorities of Montenegro were in focus during the meeting of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić with representatives of the World Bank and the EBRD.

During the meeting with the head of the World Bank's office for Montenegro, Christopher Sheldon, Prime Minister Spajić talked about several topics as part of the preparation of the World Bank’s Country Partnership Framework for Montenegro for the period from 2024 to 2028.

Spajić also emphasized the importance of the World Bank's support regarding the future reform of companies in the majority ownership by the state.

At the meeting, discussion was held on the potential and requirements for credit support from the World Bank, based on the implementation of development policies. All with the aim of strengthening economic resilience and managing the environment in a sustainable way.

During the conversation with Remon Zakaria, the head of the EBRD in Montenegro, current projects and directions of future cooperation were discussed.

The focus will be on projects that increase the competitiveness of the Montenegrin economy, accelerate the transition to a green economy, as well as on connectivity and regional integration through the expansion of cross-border transport and energy connections.
