Šoć meets with representatives of workers of Bauxite Mines

Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Šoć met with representatives of the workers of Nikšić Bauxite Mines. It is necessary that the institutions react as soon as possible in order to recognise the problem in the right way and achieve the full exercise of workers' rights, Šoć said and added that in this way justice would be served.

The representatives of the workers, Vitomir Krulanović and Božidar Đilas, presented the long-standing problems and illegal actions that accompanied the work of the Bauxite Mines in the previous period. Representatives of the workers of the Bauxite Mines also spoke about the problems of the employees regarding the bankruptcy of the Mines and the debts that have not been paid to them to date.

The interlocutors expressed hope that the competent Prosecutor's Office would investigate the actions of individuals who caused this situation and agreed that the state should pay special attention to solving the problem of disenfranchised workers of Nikšić Bauxite Mines, having in mind the importance and reputation of the company.

It was agreed that a meeting between the representatives of the workers of Nikšić Bauxite Mines and Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović will be organised soon, in order to additionally consider all possibilities to help the workers.
